Sombrerete is situated 167 km from the City of Zacatecas by the federal highway 45 in the State of Zacatecas, Mexico.

Sombrerete is located on the Del Sombrerito Hill.

Sombrerete main attractions are some constructions of religious architecture such as:

• The Baroque-Style Temple of San Francisco, built in the XVIII century

• The San Juan Bautista Parish

• The Temple of La Soledad

• The Church of Santo Domingo, which is considered the most important local monument of the Colonial period

Thirty-five kilometers away Sombrerete, you can visit the El Vergel Spa, with rustic installations.

The main festivity in Sombrerete is La Candelaria Feast, which is celebrated on February 2nd with cookfights, folk dances and bullfights.
