Valladolid is a interevalladolid in yucatan state, mexicosting city located 40 km from Chichen - Itza by the federal highway 180 in the State of Yucatan, Mexico. Its half-way between Merida and Cancun.

Valladolid, an elegant colonial town founded during the XVI century in the site of Zaci (ancient capital of the province of the Cupules), is known as the Heroic City because of the many epic events that make up its history. Scene of many rebellions and struggles between conquerors and conquerors.

Valladolid is also distinguished because of the Colonial style of its constructions; its important to note the detailed stonework of facades in colonial buildings. click here!

  • Church of San Gervasio with its towers built in the XVIII century, contains cannons used to retake the city in 1848, when it felt in hands of rebel Indians who began the Caste War. click here

  • Cenote Zaci, semi-opened well with a diameter of 45 meters and 80 meters deep. Swimming its allowed in its refreshing turquoise waters where you will see rare species of eyeless black fish known as "lub".   • Cenote Dzitnup or Keken, located just 7 km from Valladolid, this is an underground cenote with a hole in the ceiling. Its probably one of the most known and photographed cenotes of Yucatan, famous for its deep, refreshing and crystal clear waters ideal for swimming. click here
