Another puuc site, Kabah features two main temples, the "Codz Pop" (meaning rolled carpet in Maya) is considered to have been the temple of the ain God.
Here experts found seven sculptures of Maya leaders facing east as if waiting for

Becal was once the territory of the Mayas from Campeche. There are no huge Pyramids but many pre Colombian artifacts and Maya Pyramid remains have been found in the surroundings. Is a clean and quiet town with nearly no motor cehicles and is distinguished for Panama hats make from a tender young palm leaf known as Jipi Japa. The ladies that weave these Jipi Japa items do their work down in damp caves beneath the city where their materials will not dry out while they are being worked on and they invite visitors. San Francisco de Campeche is famous for being one of the few Walled Cities of America and unique one in Mexico. Conserve in excellent state its historical patrimony.

Jhon L. Stephens and Frederik Catherwood visited the cave ad published two drawings of the cave. The Maya occupiedd the cave from 2000 BC to 1000 BC, it was used for water supply. The guide tells the visitors the legends that gives the cave it's name.

Santa Elena is a town of approximately 20,000 inhabitants; it was a Maya settlement of the “XIU” Tribe that ruled the powerful city of Uxmal at the end of the Classic period. The main economic activities are; the agriculture, beekeeping, livestock, hunting and recently the tourism, as one drives into the town, a Colonial church atop a hill is visible from the road, and there are many typical thatch roofed homes, there is a beautiful town hall with its half point.

Arches, a local market and a small museum that houses pre Colombian and Colonial artifacts that were found nearby and the mommies which were found underneath the church. Calcehtok, the caves are also known as actun spukil these are the largest caves in the Yucatan peninsula. Every day we can see one of the most impressive events in these caves, thousands of bats coming up from the cave.
