Xicochimalco (“place of who used the wasp honeycomb, like a shield), 19 km away form Xalapa city, is a small town of prehispanic origin related to totonaca, olmeca, tolteca, tlaxcalteca and aztec cultures, with a XVIII century colonial architecture, of white and high walls between its stone street, remits it the rich historical past of the site.

City Museum has a unique collection of wardrobe confected in honor of holy Maria Magdalena, conserved in perfect conditions, making a unique sample of the popular culture. The Virgin festivity, takes place every year between July 8th and 23rd, is an event where can be enjoy folkloric dances, cock’s fights, mock bullfight and the loose of the young bulls in the streets, Spanish style like the Pamplona parties. #km away form the town is located Texolo's waterfall, a fallen of white lather this stands up the exuberant vegetation of the zone.
