This
small town where you go from Acayucan -354 km away from Xalapa – after 47
km, it’s considered one of the principles center of the olmec culture, and
dates of the years 1300 to 900 b.C.
The site, where was founded most of
the Heads that represents the characteristic of the olmec sculptures,
counts with a museum where contains original pieces, like the stone print
which symbolizes the principle myth that explain the creation of the
world.
Next to San Lorenzo is found the communitarian museum, Rancho Azuzul,
which possess original pieces rescued from the land, part of the olmec
legacy.
