Above
the right shore of the San Juan River, a few km of Acayucan, this town was
called in prehispanic times Michiapan, that in nahuatl voice means “in the
fish’s water”.
In old times a fluvial port served like a road to the commercial traffic
with Acuyacan, the population conserves their colonial air where the time
seems to stop the colonial constructions profiles.
