Chicontepec

130 km far away from Tuxpan, located in Huayacotla Sierra, in the border with Hidalgo State, this place is known as well as “Balcon de la Huasteca” (Huasteca balcony). Near by Postecticla, a basaltic origin mountain with a tone of blue  that natives confer a mystic and religious value, Chicontepec possess the qualities of a dedicated craftsmanship production population.

Fine embroidered, leaf tobacco, coffee or meet dry by meter, are the typical local products, offered in the market, preferably Sundays, when the town becomes in a commercial exchange center.
