Day 01:

Mexico City - Puebla - Oaxaca
- After breakfast you will
enjoy the Gourmet capital of Mexico, Puebla during a city tour of this
old colonial town that is today under monument’s protection.
- We will visit as well
the world’s biggest Pyramid in Cholula, which is covered and looks like
a hill with a church on top, but we can go inside the hill and discover
the Tepanapa pyramid.
- Then continuation to
Oaxaca. The capital of the state of the same name that is located in a
valley surrounded by the Sierra Madre del Sur.
Once was the centre of the Mixtec and Zapotec civilizations. Today
Oaxaca is a combination of pre-conquest, colonial and modern influences.
- In the afternoon visit
of city of Oaxaca with its Santo Domingo church, representing the height
of Mexican baroque, and its adjacent monastery
concerted into the Oaxacan regional museum, where the Zapotec gold
treasure found in Monte Albán is exhibited. Proceed through the “andadores”,
pedestrian streets flanked by colonial buildings, to the shady “Zocalo”
for a visit to the Cathedral, built with Oaxaca’s characteristics
green-shaded sandstone.

Day 02:

Oaxaca
- American breakfast at
hotel
- Then short drive out
of Oaxaca to visit Monte Albán, ancient capital of the Zapotecs, later
inhabited by the conquering Mixtecs. One must wonder at the perfect
geometry of this site, where you will visit the Ball Game Court, the
Observatory and many other interesting structures. The dramatic frame of
the rugged Sierra Madre mountains, and the spectacular view over the
city and valley of Oaxaca, make Monte Albán one of the most impressive
archaeological sites of the country.
- Then continuation for
visit Mitla, “The City of the Dead”, its architecture is not monumental
but exquisite, it stone mosaics are unique in the world; on the way you
will also see the ancient Tule tree, approximately 2,000 years old, and
one of the largest ones to be found anywhere on Earth.

03:
(Wednesday) 08:30
Oaxaca - Veracruz
- American breakfast at
hotel
- Then we start a longer drive through the valley of Sierra Madre
Oriental until
reaching the precious harbour city of Veracruz.
- We will visit the city
in the early
evening.
- The Mexican State of Veracruz brings to mind beautiful Gulf of Mexico
waters,
steamy jungles and mouth-watering ocean-fresh seafood.
- In the afternoon, visit the ancient prision San Juan de Ulua, built as
an Island in
the harbor of Veracruz, the Baluarte de Santiago, El Faro, etc.
- At night
you can
join the folklore dances in the Zócalo.

04:

Veracruz - Cañon del
Sumidero - San Cristobal
- American breakfast at

- The green landscape of
the Golf and the modern communications will take us to the beautiful
State of Chiapas.
- At noon, will arrive
at Cahuare deck at the Grijalva river.
- By boat we will visit
the impressive Sumidero canyon, from within, with its over 1,000 meters
height and 30 kilometers length you can see
the famous Christmas tree.
- Afterwards drive to
San Cristóbal de las Casas.

- 09:00 Visit of San
Cristóbal de las Casas; colonial and beautiful city with narrow streets,
Spanish residences that look stopped in the time;
- We will visit the
Indian market, the Temple of Santo Domingo and the amber museum.
- Afterwards visit of
the Indian towns of San Juan Chamula and Zinacantán, both full of
Indians in
colorful traditional garb who come to sell or to buy.
- Evening free to enjoy
the city.

Casas - Agua Azul - Palenque

Palenque.
- En-route will be
visited the Agua Azul waterfalls
and Misol-Ha.

Day 07:
(Sunday) 8:30
Palenque - Campeche
- American breakfast at

- We start our
sightseeing of the famous archeological site of Palenque.
- You will see the
Tempel of the Inscriptions, where the king Pakal’s tomb was found
(unfortunately it is not allowed anymore to enter the pyramid).
- You explore as well
The Palace and the North Group Temples where you enjoy an unforgettable
view over the area.
- Time for lunch (not

Day 08:
(Monday) 8:30
Campeche - Uxmal - Merida
- American breakfast at
hotel
- After breakfast we
take a short tour through the historical center of the town.
- Campeche is well
protected by the forts and baluartes walls which were built to stop the
continues attacks of the pirates.
- Then we drive to
Uxmal. You will visit the Magician's Pyramid, located at the entrance to
the site.
- This colossus stone is
the result of five superimposed stages of building, crowned by a temple
at the summit, from which you can contemplate the full grandeur of
Uxmal. You will
be amazed by the Nun's Quadrangle, so called since the Conquest for its
similarity to a convent; comprised of four large structures resting on
an artificial platform and surrounding a grand central square, 75mts
long by 45mts wide.
Decorated with god masks, jaguars, owls and human figures.
- In the evening we
reach Merida. You have the possibility to enjoy an evening of Folk
Dances, organized by the local government to protect the culture.

Day 09:

Merida - Chichen Itza - Cancun

- To begin the day a
short tour through the “White City” can not be missed. The beautiful
city of Merida is the capital of the State of Yucatan. Founded in 1542
by the Spaniard Francisco de Montejo over the ruins of the Mayan city
T'ho
and receiving its name to evoke the conquerors the city of Merida in
Spain. The Cathedral of San Ildefonso was founded with the huge stones
dismantled from the pyramids. Merida is known as the White City,
nowadays one of the most
tranquil and safest cities in Mexico. Her remote Mayan roots, superb
colonial monuments and the splendor of her turn to the XIX century
architecture, has made Merida a captivating mixture of cultural
influences.
- Then we drive to
Chichen Itza, the most visited archeological site, with the impressive
pyramid of Kukulcan, as well called El Castillo.
- You can climb up this
structure. Then you have a look at the Observatory and other very
interesting monuments, which will be explained by your tour guide such
as the temple of the
thousand columns and the ball game continuation to Cancun, ending the
tour either to the hotel or the airport.
