 Day
01: 05:30 a.m.Comitan, Emiliano Zapata community, Miramar Lagoon • Departure from San Cristobal at 05:30 hrs. Towards the city of Comitan where you have breakfast in a restaurant of the place • After breakfast, continue to the indigenous village of Amatitlan to contact the motor boat man and all together put the equipment in to the boat • Then we are ready for our trip by the Jatate river and jungle to the community of Emiliano Zapata, admiring different species of flora and regional fauna such as crocodiles, iguanas, turtles, birds and others • Arrival to the community after 2 hours and 30 minutes approximately, in a local restaurant have lunch while our staff makes the arrangements with the local authorities, paying the permissions and contacting horses and men in order to transport our equipment to the lagoon • After the lunch and break we start our trekking of 8 kilometers (2.5 hour approx.) and arrive to the biggest lake into the State of Chiapas, Miramar lagoon • We organize our camp site, our staff prepare the dinner and in the meantime you can enjoy of the relaxing warm waters of the lagoon or to walk around • Dinner and over night in tents |
 Day
02:Miramar Lagoon • After breakfast, start an interesting padding boat ride through this natural treasure in the middle of the rain forest, you see cave paintings, some local fauna species, swim and practice snorkel in beautiful reefs, after 1.5 hrs. of swimming make a short walking tour to see a small water fall • Continue to the place where you will see the carved human face on the rock, the doll, and walk up the hill to have a beautiful view of the lagoon admiring different species of flora and fauna such as white, gray and black eagles, woodpeckers, toucans, gray and black squirrels, wild ducks, spider monkeys, howler monkeys • In the afternoon back to the camp site having lunch prepared by our staff, free time to walk, to swim and to practice tubing using the donuts we carry on with us • Return and at convenient time dinner and overnight in tents hearing the howling of the monkeys, birds singing and other animals and insects of the jungle |
 Day
03:San Cristobal de las Casas • Breakfast and the entire morning to enjoy this wonderful place, in the meantime we put in order all our equipment that the horses and men transport back to the community • 11:30 hours start the walk back to Emiliano Zapata lunch in the local restaurant, we put our equipment into the boat and hop on board ready to return to Amatitlan, put our belongings in the van and back to San Cristobal de las Casas. • End of the tour |
