Tizatlan

Tizatlan is located four kilometers from Tlaxcala City by the federal highway 136 in the State of Tlaxcala, Mexico. Tizatlan has some pre-Columbian ruins; in the XVI century, the Franciscans built a church, a convent and an open chapel over these ruins. There is also a museum of religious art. Local handicrafts are wooden canes, which are characterized because of its beauty and originality.
