Cacaxtla is situated 113 km from Mexico City, on federal highway 150 in the State of Tlaxcala, Mexico.

Cacaxtla is an interesting archaeological zone which is said was the bastion of the Olmec - Xicalanca culture; its main attraction is a series of murals which keep its original colors.

The columns are decorated with figures in the shape of a jaguar man and a bird man
