When you visit El Cielo biosphere reserve, in the northeast of Mexico, the Hostal Casa de Piedra, located in Gomez Farias, Tamaulipas, reserve main gate, offers you the best

El Cielo is the biggest and most important protected
area in the northeast of Mexico, with a 144,530 ha surface. It was decreed as a Biosphere
Reserve by the Tamaulipas State Government in 1985 and Humanity Heritage by the UNESCO in
1986. Due to its relief, to the climate coincidence, the kind of vegetation, the geology
and geographical location, El Cielo became a keystone for the scientific investigation and
a very attractive place for its natural beauty.
