Tenacatita is located 30 kms (18 mi.) north of Melaque in the State of Jalisco on federal highway 200 in Mexico Tenacatita has white fine-sand beaches and tropical forests inhabited by species among others jaguars and deer In Tenacatita you can find thermal water sprouts as well as rocks of different shapes and colors There is a pile of rocks which form an arch called "La Puerta del Angel" (angel's door) Located just 5 kms (3 mi.) north is Tecuan, a beach with white sand and strong tidal waves where one can practise fishing and sailing
