Jalisco
names comes from the Nahuatl
term xalisco which means "sandy place".
The Jalisco State is located in the western part
of Mexico, has
an extension of 80,836 sq. km (31,210 sq. mi.), a population of 6,322,002
and is distributed in 124 municipalities.
