Actopan is located 121 km from Mexico City via federal highway 85 in the State of Hidalgo, Mexico.

One of its main attractions in Actopan is the Agustinian complex, built in the XVI century, which nowadays houses a Colonial Museum where you can admire beautiful murals of biblical scenes.

Actopan is a town rich in traditions and gastronomy.

On Wednesdays you can visit the market of Actopan where the regional meal such as:

  • barbecue

  • the flor de garambullo

  • the hualumbos

  • and the handicrafts from the Mezquital Valley are exhibited and sold
