Tepexpan

Tepexpan is located only 36 km from Mexico City by the federal highway 132D in the State of Estado de Mexico, Mexico.

Near Tepexpan were discovered some human remains 12,000 years old, which are exhibited at the Museum of the Man of Tepexpan.

Among its collections you can see are:

• some bones of mammoth

• chips

• obsidian

• some examples of carved silex

Twelve kilometers farther Tepexpan we reach Chincocuac, a famous typical Crafts Center, where you can visit the Baroque-style Church of San Miguel, built in the XVIII century.

The embroidery specialty are:

• blankets

• ponchos

• small rugs
