El Salto is located 100 kilometers to the west of Durango City by the federal highway 40 in the State of Durango, Mexico.

This region offers beautiful landscapes such as:

• El Monasterio which has served as a movie set

• Five kilometers farther we find a wood know as El Soldado, which possesses cabins for tourist accommodation

At short distance is El Tecuan National Park where we can also rent cabins.

Excursions depart from this town to the nearby mountains where we can enjoy the beautiful scenery, as well as a waterfall and a big canyon, where you can hunt and fish.
