Tula and Tepozotlan Tour from Distrito Federal, Mexico Rate $144
Operation: Wednesday An interesting excursion to ancient Tula, capital of the mighty Toltec empire, which flourished long before the arrival of the Aztecs. Visit includes the Ball Game court and the impressive Temple of the morning star, topped by the world-famous “Atlantes”, giant monolithic warriors standing guard, and the “Coatepantli”, an awe-inspiring wall of serpents. On the way back to Mexico City, stop at Tepotzotlan for a visit to its colonial monastery, where you will admire some of the world's most magnificent baroque altarpieces, carved in wood and covered with authentic gold leaf.
