Hopelchen is a town located 85 km to the
east from
Campeche
City in the State of
Campeche by the Federal
Highway 180 in Mexico.
Hopelchen has a warm climate and its main production
consists in henequen, corn, beans, wood, some fruits and tobacco.
Near of Hopelchen you can
visit two archaeological sites:

Hochob, which is situated
26 km to the southeast of Hopelchen on a hill, its main structures define the style of the
Chenes and consist of several buildings with squares surrounded by buildings

Dzibalchen, located 61 km
southeast of Hopelchen on Highway 269, it consists of scattered buildings and a structure
with a decorated facade
