Laguna Ojo de Liebre
 

Laguna Ojo de Liebre (lagoon) is located 215 km from Santa Rosalia via federal highway 1 in the State of Baja California Sur, Mexico.

At Laguna Ojo de Liebre, you can admire the arrival of the Gray Whale which come from the cold northern waters of the Behring Sea and the Artic Ocean to the warm Californian waters where the young whales born each year (from December 20th to March 20th).

During the season when these mammals arrive navigation is controlled.

In addition, there are observatories situated along the coastline, from you can see this singular spectacle.

The lagoon is protected by the authorities and has been converted in a natural reserve.
