There are two National Parks in our State: The Constitucion De 1857 and the Sierra de San Pedro Martir. In the first one you can find the Hanson (Or Juarez) Lagoon. The Constitucion de 1857 National Park is located in the northern part of the peninsula and in a medium height of 1.650 meters. Having a diverse species Pine Wood area of 5,009 Ha where some of the trees have grown up to 30 meters.

There are two lagoons in this Park: Hanson and Laguna Chica both covering an area of 500 Ha in the winter, and getting almost dry in the summer.

The park is an important refuge for the flora and fauna of Baja California’s State, sheltering big species like the Cimarron Lamb, the Bura Deer, Wildcat, Gray Fox and Coyotes, as well as other smaller mammals like Raccoons, Squirrels, and Moles, etc. As to birds this is an excellent place for a good observer: You can find Eagles, Hawks, Owls, Ducks and Herons, among other. In the lagoons you can mainly find Sea Bass..
